Welcome to The Hunt House Archive

The largest document archive for rolls-royce and bentley automobiles

Welcome to The Hunt House Archive Website.

The Hunt House Archive many million sheets of paper and cards, together with some 500 thousand engineering drawings. In addition there are several thousand photographic negatives, slides and prints. These embrace the whole spectrum of Rolls-Royce and post-1931 Bentley manufacture, service and general history.

Coachbuilders' information is more sparse, but nevertheless a large amount of sketches and records from various companies is available.

The list below gives a summary of the material held; this list is by no means exhaustive.

The Club and Foundation have an ongoing programme of digitising archive material. This is a mammoth task, which is extremely time consuming, and many years of work lie ahead.

To date, digitisation of the Pre-1965 Construction Records, the Pre-war Engineering Drawings, (blueprints), the Lists of Parts and the 'Depot Sheets' is complete, and work is now proceeding with the Post-war Drawings.

PLEASE NOTE: Only List of Parts sheets and Drawings are available to download from this website. Chassis records will need to be obtained from The Hunt House as normal.

Photocopies of material that has not yet been digitised are available by application to our  Records Manager at The Hunt House. (A suitable charge will apply.)

Appointments, giving at least 48 hours, must be made for all visits to the archives for research. There can be no exceptions to this rule.
